Internal Accreditation Commission
Accreditation is crucial for a degree program, as its qualification is only officially recognised with it. For this reason, degree programs are reviewed at their founding and then periodically to ensure they meet quality standards.
The internal accreditation commission is composed of members of our university to represent the internal perspective, supplemented by external experts. As a member of such a commission, you review the documentation of a degree program to answer questions such as:
- Can the degree program be completed within the standard period of study?
- Are the module handbooks correct?
- Are formal requirements being met?
In practice, the internal accreditation commission is the final authority in the accreditation process and often confirms the findings and recommendations from the external accreditation.
